JavaScript Beginner
Course · Web Development · 8 Weeks
A free reading course that teaches you to make web pages come alive. Thirteen chapters cover variables, conditions, loops, functions, arrays and objects, then the DOM and events that change a page when a visitor clicks or types, and finish with a project where you make the portfolio page from HTML Beginner and CSS Beginner interactive, with a dark mode button, a checked contact form and a saved to-do list. Every chapter has clear explanations, worked examples, common mistakes, multiple-choice questions you answer as you read, and practice exercises, with a practice assignment for each chapter and an answer key. Basic HTML and CSS are expected, so start with those courses if you are new. You read at your own pace, type the examples yourself and run them in your browser.
Program fee: ₹0 (excl. GST). Certificate on completion, tied to a verifiable Intern ID.
Learning Roadmap
- Weeks 1-2: The basics: Run your first script, store information in variables, work with text, numbers and booleans, and make your code choose with conditions.
- Weeks 3-4: Doing more with code: Repeat work with loops, write your own functions, and organise data with arrays and objects.
- Weeks 5-6: Working with the page: Select and change elements with the DOM, respond to clicks, typing and forms with events, and handle text, numbers and dates.
- Weeks 7-8: Finish like a developer: Find and fix bugs with the console and breakpoints, load data with fetch, and finish by making your own portfolio page interactive.
